She had thought about freedom many times. The thought of it saved her from losing herself. Now as she was away from him, she viewed life differently. For others being in sun, being in garden, being able to talk to anyone felt ordinary. But for her it meant how to live again, she was not his wife. People did not view her with what she was not. She was being treated normally. It also made her realize many things about her own self.
She remembered correctly for how many days she was in his hold 288 days. How she wanted nothing more than to be free. How much she cried, how much she begged god...and indeed she was answered. The pain and the misery she felt in all those days was worth the happiness she felt in just 4 days. Since the moment she arrived in Sydney she had smiled so much. Her cheeks were hurting from all smiling to children, to stranger. Some people also gave her weird looks. But she did not mind a bit.
