She was not afraid anymore. Afraid was too small of a word for what she felt. What lived inside her now was something far deeper to terror. The kind that settled inside her and refused to leave. Her life no longer felt like it belonged to her.
As if she were watching her own life from a third-person view. Because the control was no longer hers. It was in his hands. And the way he moved her through the crowd guiding her without even asking made the realization sink deeper into her.
